Abstract:

This article examines the Philosophy of political ethics in Islam as an interdisciplinary trend and seeks to answer some of its key questions. Although political ethics has a long history in Islamic culture and civilization, and its methods and sources have been defined under the knowledge of ethics, its interdisciplinary aspect has been neglected and most of the moral precepts of Islam related to politics have been considered. This paper seeks to explore the fundamental questions of political ethics, such as concept, background, subject, method, utility, purpose, Framework of Issues and the relationship between political ethics and other knowledge and trends. The answers given to the questions posed indicate that political ethics has a high potential for growth and excellence and becoming an independent knowledge in Islamic political thought. This important task has been done by descriptive-analytical method and using the questions of philosophy of science and second order view.
