Investigating the Feasibility of Implementing "University-based Curriculum" in Farhangian University
The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility of implementing university-based curriculum planning in Farhangian University. The research method was descriptive survey and its statistical population included all faculty members of Farhangian University in the academic year of 1998-99. From this statistical population, 60 people were randomly selected to participate in the sample and a researcher-made questionnaire was distributed among them. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were evaluated and confirmed. The results showed that although Farhangian University does not have the appropriate facilities to implement university-based curriculum, the faculty members of that University have sufficient knowledge, attitude and skills in the field of implementing university-based curriculum. There is also a significant and positive relationship between gender and faculty members' attitudes (P <0.05). But no relationship was found between gender and knowledge and skill components (P <0.05).
