Evaluation of criminal policies against violent crime through analysis of quantitative indicators

Criminal justice policy is defined as manners which justice authorities apply for combating delinquency in the framework of regulations with the help of criminal institution and lawful authorities. Scientific organizing and continuous updates of these policies will improve level of criminal justice system, combating violent crimes and especially control of their growth and in general it can be very effective and have considerable efficiency. In this case statistical data is the most fundamental principle for planning and planning is the most basic indicator for management. In fact, development without planning and planning without statistics is impossible, when it is feasible that we regard comprehensively to statistics and information and the methods of gathering and analysis them. Analysis of the criminal policy of the country is based on quantitative indicators of criminal statistics (over the years of 89 to 93), it implies that despite applying strictly policies and aggravation of punishment in the legislation phase, some types of aggressive crimes such as beating, threat, rape and stick-up have growth rate of accusation. On the other hand, comparison between inputs of aggressive crimes cases and convictions indicates that although we encounter significant growth in some types of these crimes such as stick-up from bank, but in most of aggressive crimes like beating, robbery, extortion, rape and even murder, statistics indicates little growth of convictions and some crimes such as stick-up from jewelry have significant reduction in convictions
