Investigating the Role of Economic, Social, Cultural and Physical Security in Urban Regeneration (Case Study: Kashan City)
In the process of urban regeneration, various variables should be taken into consideration, and their diverse impacts in this process should be evaluated, one of the most important of which is security and its stabilization. The present study is aimed at investigating the role of economic, social, cultural and physical security in urban regeneration in Kashan city.
The present research could be considered some sort of applied-developmental research. The study is of descriptive-analytical type. The statistical population in this study includes residents of Kashan city based on the 2016 census, and the statistical range of the whole region includes Kashan city. The number of statistical population is 364,482. The sample size based on Cochran's formula was 384. The research tool includes a 59-item questionnaire of two sections of security with 4 sub-categories (economic, social, cultural and physical) and urban regeneration with 40 and 19 questions, respectively. The validity of the questionnaire was form-wise and content-wise, and based on Cronbach's alpha of 0.83 its reliability was confirmed. The collected data were analyzed in "Imus", based on structural equation analysis.
The results indicate that the coefficient of impact of economic security index on urban regeneration is to 0.27, the coefficient of impact of social security index on urban regeneration is 0.19, the coefficient of impact of physical security index on urban regeneration is 0.24, and the coefficient of impact of cultural security index on urban regeneration is 0.22. Accordingly, the impact of economic index on urban regeneration is the highest (0.27), and the impact of social index on urban regeneration is the lowest (0.19).
