Identification and ranking of success factors of managing directors of Iranian Football Clubs Participating in Professional League

The purpose of this study was identifying and ranking success factors of club managers in Iran football Pro league. The method of study was a descriptive survey and practical in which the samples were composed of university teaching staff of Sports Management, experts and elites of Iran football clubs and football federation. 105 samples were chosen through simple random sampling. Data were gathered from library and a questionnaire developed by the researcher. Having the validity of the questionnaire approved by 12 university professors of Sports Management with reliability of Cronbach’s Alpha 0/893, the questionnaires were distributed among the samples. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive analysis (measures of central tendency, percentage, average and standard deviation) and method of TOPSIS was applied in the inferential method for the analysis of success factors of club managers. The method of AHP was used for calculation of weight or value index of every success factor of the club managers. The results demonstrated that among individual factors, fairness weighing 0/178 was placed in the first rank and supervision and control weighing 0/80 was placed in the last rank, among organizational factors, management stability weighing 0/234 was placed in the first rank and common perspective weighing 0/98 was placed in the last rank, and among extra organizational factors, fans club weighing 0/213 was placed in the first rank and competitive advantage weighing 0/97 was placed in the last rank.
