Identifying the Competitive Advantages of Ofogh TV Network in Documentary Film Realm

Presenting documentary films is a fundamental strategy for attracting an audience in order to explain the Islamic revolution discourse. The goal of this research is to recognize the competitive advantages of the Ofogh TV network in the documentary film realm. The present research is qualitative and has been done by in-depth interview methodology. The sampling mode is purposeful and the statistical population consists of 3 groups: Academics of Media & Documentary Film, Documentarists & Media Managers of Ofogh TV Network. The sample size was 12 people according to the theoretical saturation. Categorization of the obtained data in regard to the competitive advantages of the network can be divided into 3 groups of Media Validity, Structural Differentiation, and Organizational Communication. The mentioned facts are among the outcomes of the research. Effective & interactive connection with institutions outside the IRIB domain, easier fundraising & content providing, existing structure, TV schedule, and special think tank for documentary films are competitive features of this network.
