Identifying the factors affecting the development of health tourism in Iran

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the development of tourism, which is the most prosperous sector in the tourism industry today, is a descriptive-survey research method that is applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population of the study includes managers (senior managers and middle managers), experts and practitioners of the health tourism industry in the headquarters of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Tehran University of Medical Sciences and hospitals active in the field of health tourism. 384 people were selected as a statistical sample by simple random sampling method and Cochran's formula. In order to collect data, a questionnaire in 30 items with a five-point Likert scale was used Its validity was confirmed by the views of professors and experts and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha test (0.7). In order to analyze the data, Delphi method and factor analysis and Smart.PLS software were used. Findings showed that socio-economic factors, individual factors, operating conditions, play a key role in the development of health tourism in Iran. It seems necessary to provide standard medical services.
