Provide a model of strategic agility and determine its status in knowledge-based industries
Strategic agility is an emerging weapon in a turbulent competitive environment. This research aims to introduce strategic agility and to present the key factors and indicators of strategic agility in the form of a conceptual model by comprehensively examining the existing theoretical foundations and using the opinion of experts. The method of the present study is a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. The statistical population of this research in the qualitative part included organizational experts, which consisted of ten managers and specialists of knowledge-based companies (including: telecommunication industry, microelectronics, pharmacy, medical biotechnology and software) and in the quantitative part, included all staff employees of knowledge-based companies. Using Cochran's formula, 365 people were selected as a sample, so that after designing the research model, dimensions and strategic agility indicators, qualitative data were used to localize the model indicators. The conceptual model was then quantitatively evaluated using LISREL software. The tool of this research, in the qualitative phase, is a semi-structured interview and the experts were asked to adjust the identified indicators. In a small phase, a questionnaire was used. The proposed model is validated using factor analysis and structural equation modeling techniques. The relationship of some dimensions of the model with each other was also confirmed. The results of the model study showed that some aspects of strategic agility are in a favorable position and others are in an unfavorable position that should be well planned to strengthen them.Key words: conceptualization, agility, strategic agility, knowledge based industry.
