Assessing the security of urban spaces with emphasis on the principle of permeability (Case study: District 12 of Tehran)
The study of security and how to be affected in cities is more concerned with the human environment, but in this area, more attention has been paid to the theoretical and psychological aspects of security and how the physical factors and the physical formation of the environment and its impact on the sense of security have been neglected. In order to investigate the effect of access in District 12 of Tehran on the sense of security of its residents, 344 inductive design questionnaires were compared and analyzed with GIS maps and information. The results indicate that the increase in the sense of security is inversely related to the increase in the level of underpasses, and in contrast, with the increase in the accessibility and permeability of the space, the residents' sense of security increases..
