Abstract:

Great artists sometimes express God content by simile which can contain the viewpoint of thoughtful artist to God. The theory of conceptual metaphor is an appropriate way to extract hidden aspects of this imagination and illustration. The current study aims to investigate conceptual metaphors about Right in Masnavi, because related metaphors to Right in Masnavi have keen consideration to find the imagination and illustration of Right. These metaphors clarify other hidden side of God illustration in Masnavi. This study has applied the classification of God imagination proposed by Mostafa Malejiyan in order to figure out their distinctiveness or indistinctiveness. At first, main (mother) metaphors are found through minor metaphors and their networks. Then, they were compared and contrasted with Malekiyan’s classification. The findings reveal that Right in Masnavi is either distinctive or indistinctive. Moreover, Rumi has applied “binary” metaphors which refer to a god is either human-like or non-human-like.
