Assessment spouse abuse rate and agents effect on it, in women under supportive health center Khoramabad 1381

Wife abuse is an old phenomenon, but only recently and with the advent of the women's movement,public attention has been given to this form of family violence. Demostic violence has been an all over increasing phenomenon, The victims of which are mostly women. Individuals with certain personal, familiar,socio- economic and emotional caharacteristics may be threatened for incidence subjected to it is aggravated consequences. Therefore, reviewing the kind and servity wife abuse and effectiveness factors of this group can be prevent the abuse.

This survey was analytic- descriptive- cross sectional.a two part questionaire was empolyed to question personal, familiar and socio- ceonomic characteristic, futher by index of spouse abuse (I.S.A) the kind (physical or psychological) and severity of spouse abuse was estimated from total of 43000 family, 1054 women marriaged with d=3%, z=1.96%, p=0.5% were selected.data were collection by interview. The realiability and validity the questionaire was determined by test- Re- test and validitation of is contents.

Finding showed that 91.9% subjects had experienced general abuse from rarely to great deal and 75.4% subjects have experinced physical abuse. Whereas, 94.1% of all subjects have experience emotional abuse.about general severity of abuse 22.9% have experinced abuse were moderate, and 50.7% experinced moderate emotional abuse, 22.1% have experinced severity.finding showed reverse relation between age and severity abuse (P=0.01). also showed significant relation showed between education, substance abuse job, family violence, family kind and marriage kind.

it is evident that women in all socio- economic groups may be subject to abuse, yet it became clear that in certain groups it happens much severity, which should be viewed with more concern, considering the couples characteristic, wife abuse may be anticipated and detected among emergency as health clinic attendence, thus support of client's education and referal may be a way of prevention further physical or psychological abuse. It is also remmended to study the effectiveness factors and community awareness of domestic violence. The acquire more knowledge of this problem further research and education of the health personal must be planned to increase public knowledge and combat women abuse.
