Abstract:
urban planning is one of the necessities That needs to be addressed by expanding cities and urban populations. Among the data needed for such studies, the urban road network such as the network of passages has particular importance. Unique features of volunteered geographic information such as comprehensive coverage and daily updates make the volunteered dataset Identified as a suitable dataset for studies. But due to the heterogeneous quality of this dataset, it is necessary to evaluate its quality parameters and verify the quality of the dataset. Therefore, in this paper, according to the necessity of evaluating the quality parameters for volunteered geographic information and the high importance of positional accuracy and the lack of a comprehensive study in previous studies in order to compare positional accuracy criteria, it seemed necessary to conduct a comprehensive study on positional accuracy assessment methods to identify the strengths and challenges of each approach. Analyzes on positional accuracy evaluation criteria resulted in inappropriate Mean Distance Criteria in indistinguishing between positional accuracy of special situations and the advantage of the Hausdorff distance over the incremental buffer distance in higher processing speed. According to this criterion, the volunteered data set of Tehran city in areas 11 to 14 were evaluated as 2.5 meters, indicating the desired volunteered data quality of these areas. Also in the second set of evaluation methods due to high correlation (0.87) of completeness parameter and positional accuracy, this study recommends evaluating the completeness of two VGI and valid data sets in order to prevent possible errors. In this group of methods, the criterion of Buffer analysis was selected as the appropriate method due to the unpredictability of specific situations and the positional accuracy of the Tehran VGI dataset with a 5 meter radius was 0.781.
