Investigating the Effectiveness of Satir’s experimental Approach in decrease Marital Conflicts and decrease Emotional Divorce

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness on of Satir experimental couple therapy ,in decrease conflict ,decrease Emotional Divorce.

The research was a semi-experimental method, which was carried out with a pre-testpost-test design with control group. The statistical population consisted of all married women who referred to health centers of Mashhad during summer & autumn of 1396. The sample of the study was selected from among 50 people who scored the cut of questionnaire of emotional divorce (Gottman, 2008). 30 people were randomly selected and replaced in two groups equal experimental (15person) and control groups (15person).1 5. The instruments used in this research were Gottman's Divorce Scale (2008) and Sanei &Barati's Marital Conflict Questionnaire (1996). Both groups responded to the questionnaires in the pretest. Then, the experimental group trained in communication skills with Satir approach in eight 90-minute sessions, and the control group did not receive any interventions. After training was finished, posttest was implemented. Data were analyzed using spss22 software and covariance analysis.

The result is not only the theoretical basis of Satir's Experiential Approach, but also the training of this approach to decrease marital conflicts and emotional divorce.
