Qualitative Approach to Primary School Student Life Skills Curriculum

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to provide a framework for curriculum for life skills training in elementary school. The method of this qualitative research is of exploratory type. The research population of 15 teachers of education system have been chosen through snowball sampling to achieve data saturation through semi-structured interview. Upgraded documents and documentation of observation have also been used. Findings show that: The main goal of life skills training is to improve individual-social skills of students,nowadays the fundamental need of students is citizenship nurture, student-centered and problem-based contents are among the most relevant contents that should be Combined with the main courses and new methods of education is taught by teachers who are qualified and have the necessary competencies (general, professional, specialized), and in order to evaluate the learning and institutionalizing of life skills in students, qualitative and descriptive evaluation methods and longitudinal studies of behavior and function should be used.
