Effectiveness of Waiting-Oriented Psychological Package Based on Mahdaviat Teachings on the Identity Styles and procrastination of Secondary High School Female Students
The present study was conducted in order to compile a waiting-oriented psychological package according to the teachings of Mahdaviat teachings on the identity styles and procrastination in secondary high school students.
It was a quasi-experimental study with pretest, post-test, control-group and two-month follow-up design. The statistical population included 45 secondary high school female students in the city of Isfahan in academic year 2018-19. 30 secondary high school students were selected through non-random purposive sampling method and they were randomly accommodated into experimental and control groups (15 students in the experimental group and 15 students in the control group). The experimental group received twelve sessions of waiting-oriented intervention during three months. The applied questionnaires included practical commitment to Islamic beliefs scale (Navidi, 1998), identity styles questionnaire (Berzonski, 1992) and procrastination questionnaire (Tuckman, 1991). The data were analyzed through repeated measurement ANOVA and Bonferroni follow-up test via SPSS23 software.
The results revealed that the waiting-oriented psychological package has had significant effect on the committed identity styles and procrastination of the students (p<0.0001).
It was proved that waiting-oriented psychological package according to the teachings of Mahdaviat can be offered to improve the identity styles and procrastination in the students.
