Predicting Tendency to Extramarital Relationships Based on Mood Dysfunction, Differentiation and Sexual Intimacy in Cultural Women

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to predict the tendency to extramarital affairs based on mood apathy, differentiation and sexual intimacy in cultural women. The present study was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of this study consisted of all cultural women in Shiraz in the year 99-400. From the statistical population, 381 people were selected by available sampling method and studied using an electronic questionnaire. Data were collected using the Watley (2008) Attitudes Towards Extramarital Relationships Questionnaire, Scorne & Smith (2003) Self-Determination, Bagarozi Sexual Intimacy (2001), and Toronto (1994) Emotional Mood Disorder. After collecting and extracting data, participants' scores were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression and SPSS-24 statistical software. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship (0.01) between the score of differentiation (emotional reaction, my position, emotional breakdown and fusion with others) and sexual intimacy with the tendency to extramarital affairs and between mood dysphoria and its components (difficulty in diagnosis Emotions, difficulty in describing emotions and thinking with external orientation) have a significant positive relationship with the tendency to extramarital relationships (0.01). The results also showed that differentiation with beta coefficient (-0.16) and sexual intimacy with beta coefficient (-0.36) in a negative and mood dysphoria with beta coefficient (0.13) in a positive, predictive power of tendency Have extramarital affairs in cultural women. According to the results of regression tables, the variables of differentiation, mood dysphoria and sexual intimacy have the ability to predict extramarital relationships.
