The present study aimed to investigate the effect of sociological factors on urban accidents in Tehran. The researcher's view in this research is using a theoretical explanation that supports the research hypotheses.
In terms of method, the present study is a cross-sectional survey using a questionnaire. In this study, 384 drivers with driver's licenses residing in Tehran were selected as a statistical sample and the research sampling plan is a probabilistic sampling that is designed and determined by proportional stratified sampling method in two stages.
The results of regression analysis showed that social bonding in the form of two concepts of dependence and commitment (β = 0.51) has the greatest impact on the prevention of traffic violations in Tehran and then the social control variable with coefficient ( Β = 0.36 is the second variable affecting the prevention of traffic violations in Tehran. According to the positive and negative coefficients in the model, it can be said that with increasing social bond (dependence and commitment) and social control, the level of prevention of traffic violations in Tehran increases and if social disorganization, structural pressure and aggression and failure to prevent Traffic violations are increasing in Tehran.
