Designing educational program of spouses’ intimacy based on native culture and investigation its effectiveness on quality of intimate relationships of couples

This research aimed to designing educational program of spouses’ intimacy based on native culture and investigation its effectiveness on quality of intimate relationships of couples. The present study was a mixed (in terms of designing program was qualitative and in terms of intervention was quantitative) from type of semi-experimental with pre-test, post-test and follow-up design with control group. The research population was married people living in Tehran city in 2017 year which from them 48 people were selected by available sampling method and randomly replaced into two groups (each group 24 people). The experimental group trained 10 sessions of 2 hours with spouses’ intimacy program and the control group didn’t receive any training. The research instrument was marital intimacy questionnaire of Walker & Thompson (1983) and data were analyzed by repeated measure ANOVA method. The findings showed that there was a significant difference between the groups in the post-test and follow-up stages in terms of quality of intimate relationships of couples.
