Abstract:

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between ambiguity intolerance and death anxiety in the corona pandemic period: the mediating role of perceived stress. In terms of purpose, the present study is applied. The research design is descriptive and correlational through structural equation modeling. The statistical population of the present study was all individuals who had suffered from death due to coronary artery disease during coronary heart disease. A total of 150 members were selected by convenience sampling and referred to the McLean (1993) Ambiguity Tolerance Questionnaire, the death anxiety questionnaire. Templer (1970) and Cohen et al. (1983) Perceived Stress Questionnaire. The results showed that intolerance to ambiguity and perceived stress can directly and positively explain death anxiety and the indirect effect of ambiguity intolerance on anxiety. Death due to perceived stress is also positive and significant (P <0.01).
