Spatial planning strategies with a focus on border security and enforcement solutions using model SWOT- AHP (East Azerbaijan Province of the study area)
The purpose of this article is to present strategies and guidelines for the development of Sistan and Baluchistan’s border areas. This research was done through the descriptive-analytic method, and it was intended to serve as an applied research. The documents and data collection was done by field study, and by library method. It was prepared in the format of a questionnaire, which was conducted by 20 experts. The models used in this study were SWOT-ANP and SWOT- AHP hybrid models, and they were done because of the capabilities evaluation and limitations of the border area preparation in order to develop it. To do this, the SWOT technique used to identify the strengths and weaknesses (internal factors), opportunities and threats (external factors). To take the best strategy, AHP models were used to weight the series of internal and external factors (SO, WO, ST, and WT). The research findings showed that in the SWOT-AHP model, Research findings show that the model, SWOT- AHP aggressive strategy, competitive (SO) with a score of 0.708 as the main strategy and Reload strategies (WO) with a score of 0.625 was chosen as an alternative strategy.
