The investment pathology in the provinces of East Azerbaijan and West Azerbaijan

In this study the barriers to the investment in the provinces of East Azerbaijan and West Azerbaijan was studied. The study was accomplished by descriptive-analytical method and the researcher gathered and analyzed the required data by using open ended questioner on the population of the investors of private sectors. Most of the pointed barriers were common in both provinces. These obstacles were problems such as ministerial complexity and corruption, lack of appropriate banking facilities, lack of governmental support, discrimination against these two provinces comparing to other provinces, lack of economic stability and security and lack of provincial support. Some barriers were also particular to one of these provinces such as: there were no railway, highway and air transportation infrastructures as well as security treatment due to ethnical, religious and cult varieties in West Azerbaijan. A considerable point about investment in these provinces is the feeling of social insecurity which involves only 0.2 of the barriers in West Azerbaijan (the priority 35 th ) but 5.2 in West Azerbaijan (the priority 6 th ).
