Investigating e-learning in higher education
Abstract E-learning, as one of the emerging generations of distance learning, has grown rapidly in most educational systems. Today, the Internet is the largest network in the world, consisting of thousands of interconnected computer networks (national, local, commercial, and corporate). Internet-based learning is a subset of online learning. In computer-based learning, the learner is not networked and most learning materials are produced and distributed locally. Therefore, computer-based learning is not a subset of online learning, but as an electronic medium that facilitates the learning process, it is part of e-learning. In this study, we intend to examine e-learning and examine variables such as e-learning in higher education and e-learning for students. Certainly, reading this article can open a new horizon in the field of e-learning.
