Developing and Validating the Classroom Lead- Management Package Based on Choice Theory and Determining Its Effectiveness on Teacher Management Style and Responsibility of First Grade Students of Mid School in School
The purpose of the present study was to developing and validating the classroom lead- management Package based on Choice Theory and determining it’s effectiveness on teacher management style and responsibility of first grade students of mid school in school year 2020-2021.
the method of this study was quasi- experiment with pre- test, post-test using control group ant experimental groups. The statistical population was mid school first students in Konarak City in school year 2020-2021. Two class (students and teachers of Biology, Mathematics and Literature) after matching were Selected by available sampling method and randomly assigned to experiment and control group. Classroom lead- management Package based on Choice Theory Was instructed to experiment group and control group didn’t receive any instruction.The study instruments were Teacher Management Style questionnaire, Student Engagement questionnaire. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation), and inferential statistics (T test, ANOVA, MANOVA), by SPSS 18 software.
Both of the CVI and CVR index approved content validity of management package. ANCOVA revealed significant difference between two groups of teacher in post test (P<0/01) and effect size of management package on dependent variable was 0/91. Result of ANOVA with repeated measuring for student responsibility showed the meaningful different in pre- test and post- test with follow up of experiment group and nonmeaningful different in pre-test and post-test with fallow up of control group (p< 0/1) that indicate the effectiveness of experimental variable on responsibility of students in post- test and constancy of results in fallow up
Based on the present results, classroom management package based on Choice Theory has validity and can have positive effects on student engagement.
