Identify and rank the challenges of developing martial arts and self-defense in Mazandaran Disciplinary Command
The police force, due to its various missions and the need to arrest in dealing with criminals, as well as the fight against miscreants and disruptors of social order and security in society, requires combat skills and self-defense; Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify and rank the challenges of developing martial arts and self-defense in Mazandaran Disciplinary Command.
The present study is a descriptive-analytical study that is mixed in terms of how data is collected and is applied in terms of purpose. The study population included police commanders, martial arts instructors, managers, physical education experts of Mazandaran Province Disciplinary Command and heads of Mazandaran Province Martial Arts Board who were selected using purposive and available sampling method. In the first stage, by analyzing the content of the research, the relevant codes were extracted and in the second stage, after interviewing experts, the challenges were identified. In the first and second stages, the identified challenges in the Delphi group were examined; In these two stages, challenges that at least 70% had a positive response remained for the next stage. In the final stage, the challenges identified in the previous two stages were ranked using a five-point Likert questionnaire.
According to the research findings, it can be used as an analytical tool on the factors affecting the development of martial arts and self-defense in the police command of Mazandaran province to logically and principally solve the challenges in this area and the development of martial arts and self-defense in the police command.
