Exploration of Spatial-Temporal Distribution of Crime Hotspots in Malekshahi Using GIS, Case Study: Theft – related Crimes
In most districts and urban areas, crimes are a controversial and challenging issue for human life. the increase in the commission of crimes in urban areas not only creates insecurity, fear and disturbances of the citizens, but also spills over massive financial resources, as well as the deterioration of the quality of the living environment. Meanwhile Recently, geographic analysis of delinquency and trying to identify the spatial factors of social anomalies are important using GIS. Accordingly The aim of this research is to Exploration of Spatial-Temporal Distribution of Crime Hotspots in Malekshahi Using GIS. The statistical population of the study was crimes related to theft in the city of Malekhahi during the year 2016(1395). The method of this research is descriptive-analytic and statistical and graphical methods are used for analysis Using GIS. The results of the study show that a large part of the Crime Hot spots are located in its central areas. Also, temporal analysis of theft –related crimes shows that the months of April, June, August, and October were the highest incidence of crime.
