A Survey on the Proposal to Localize the Oral History Metadata Synchronizer (OHMS); Emphasizing the Importance of Synchronizing the Sources of the Holy Defense oral history

The Holy Defense is one of the landmarks of Iran's contemporary history. The more important the event and the more numerous narrations it has, the more important its oral history is. In addition, the Holy Defense oral history has the most frequency among the sources of oral history in Iran. Thus, paying attention to the documentation and preparation of oral history interviews and the possibility of easy access to them is of special importance for researchers in various fields of the Holy Defense and contemporary history of Iran. The Oral History Metadata Synchronizer (OHMS) is a web-based application that allows easy access to interviews according to different topics and the time they are discussed in the interviews. Introducing and proposing the localization of this application in oral history, especially the Holy Defense, is the main goal of this article. Also, this research aims to answer the following questions: What are the methods of organizing and accessing oral history sources in archival organizations and centers? How do experts in archival organizations and centers evaluate the management of oral history resources in terms of organization and accessibility? From the point of view of experts, to what extent is the use of the oral history metadata synchronizer program effective in the management of oral history resources? Based on the objective, the research is of an applied type and is carried out using a survey-description method. The data collection tool is a researcher-made questionnaire. Twenty professors, researchers, and experts in organizations and document centers who are active in the field of oral history production have answered this questionnaire.
