Criticism of the book "Unknown Hero"(An oral narrative of the Holy Defense History of West Azerbaijan)
The invasion of neighboring countries and tribes from far and near to a region and defending its existence is one of the constant elements in history, which has become one of the most important human issues in the last century. The Holy Defense is also known as one of the most important events of the last hundred years in the Middle East and the world, which includes the oral, indigenous, and cultural history of Iran in the early years of the Islamic Revolution. Studying the narratives and memories of the Holy Defense warriors has led to a better understanding of the Holy Defense era. Recognizing people, conspiracies and betrayals, bravery, and expressing the hardships warriors endured are preserved by recording the warriors' memories. The accuracy and attention of the narrator and his memory, the writer's trustworthiness, the writer's involvement during the narration, and considering the writing rules are among the things that should be considered in recording the oral history. This article surveys and reviews the book "Unknown Hero", which is the memoirs of Khosrow Adamnejad Ghafoor, one of the veteran fighters of the Holy Defense. The book was written by Najmuddin Asadi and narrates a part of the history of West Azerbaijan during the years of the Holy Defense.
