Impacts of the Structure of the Absolute Sovereignty on Society and Political elites in Pahlavi Period

The influence of political elites in every society is not hidden from anyone. But this influence has a direct relation with governance structure of that society. Aim of this research is analysis of impacts of the structure of the absolute sovereignty on society and political elites in Pahlavi period. The method of research is descriptive analytic and documentary-analytic analysis is considered to obtain goals of research. Research’s information provided via field, library and scientific texts resources. Results show that existence of parties, family relationships, unofficial groups and their domination over the affairs of country, were most important features of power building. Meanwhile, the king and courtiers had the most access to power and had an undisputed opportunity in decision making, policy setting and leadership. Structure of the absolute sovereignty made political elites never be able to follow the demands of people and be their representative. Because of this and over time, the threads between people and government were severed and people’s efforts for revolution is one of its important results.
