Measuring the factors of physical-spatial failure affecting the occurrence of crimes with emphasis on sustainable development(Case study of Baharestan city)

The unregulated development of urban communities in recent decades is considered by many experts as one of the factors underlying the occurrence of crimes and insecurity in urban areas.

In this research, which was carried out with a descriptive-analytical method, an attempt was made to investigate the situation of theft and brawl crimes in Baharestan city. And factor analysis has been used to measure physical and spatial factors of security failure

In this context, by distributing a questionnaire whose validity in spss software was 0.72, we asked the opinion of the citizens of Baharestan city regarding the situation, and the results indicated the unfavorable security situation of this city with a single sample T index of -17.4. . Factor analysis also shows that things like deserted space with index 0.83, interference of uses with index 0.80, space attracting men with index 0.76, spaces that can be avoided with index 0.54, winding passages with index 0.43, hidden and covered spaces Mass vegetation, which is in the next ranks, has been one of the factors affecting physical and spatial insufficiency, which is effective in the creation and development of insecurity, especially in the areas of theft and conflict, which has challenged the realization of sustainable development in security and social dimensions.
