Presenting a Media Model to Prevent Crime in Urban Security
The purpose of this research is to provide a media model to prevent crime in urban security. The present research is practical in terms of its purpose and was analyzed using the data method of interviews in order to identify the variables of the research. The statistical population of the research includes 14 academic experts in the field of media and criminology, who were selected by purposeful sampling and interviewed. The results showed that in the open coding stage, 139 concepts were obtained, and in the next stage, these concepts were classified in the form of 27 more general categories, and finally, in the last stage, 10 main categories were expressed. The causal conditions of the media model in order to prevent the occurrence of crime were identified with 3 concepts of individual factors, organizational factors and occupational factors. Regarding background factors, the media model shows two concepts in order to prevent crime in security, which are: audience's trust in the media, management and organizational planning. Also, the selective coding of the background factors of the media model in order to prevent the occurrence of crime in urban security with a concept of management and macro-policy was determined. The intervention conditions of the media model in order to prevent the occurrence of crime were identified through two concepts of micro and macro environment. The strategies of the media model in order to prevent the occurrence of crime were identified with two concepts of micro and macro strategy. The result of the media model shows the consequences related to the public and society in two concepts, the consequences related to the media members and the media organization.
