Abstract:
The polymath Helli in his book " Minhaj al-Karamah " and so many other great interpreters maintain that the phrase "believe in him" on the verse 33 in Az-Zumar Surah refers to imam Ali (PBH). Ibn Taymiyyah disagrees with this view and pose three doubts: 1- the transmitter in this hadith is not trustworthy, 2- there is a narration that says the Abu Bakr is the sense of this narration and not Imam Ali (PBH). 3- this phrase is too general and may include so many people. In this essay, with analytical- descriptive method, it will be proved that: 1- according to many hadith scholars, including Mujahid, the narrator in this hadith is trustworthy, 2- there is no proof that the Abu Bakr maintain the title "trustful" and so many Sunni scholars believe that this title is for Imam Ali (PBH) 3- if the meaning of this verse is too broad, Imam Ali (PBH) can be a good sense for this verse.
