A Comparative Study of the Discourses of Imam Khomeini and Jürgen Habermas Based on the Discourse Analysis of Lacla and Mouffe
Discourse analysis theory is one of the study methods in political thought and political sociology. This theori’s roots are in linguistics and has grown in both the fields of linguistics and political philosophy. The theory of discourse in the field of linguistics is known as critical discourse, the most important theorists of which are Van Dyke, Vodak and Norman Fairclough. According to many experts, the discourse of Laclau and Mouffe has a great capacity to analyze macro-socio-political issues. The discourse of Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution is one of the most important discourses in Today’s Islam. It On the other hand, the discourse put forward by the contemporary Western philosopher and sociologist Jürgen Habermas has also attracted a lot of attention. In this article, in addition to explaining the philosophical foundations of Laclau and Mouffe's theory of discourse analysis, the application of this theory to analyze the discourse of Imam Khomeini and Jürgen Habermas in response to the question of how to compare the discourse of these two contemporary thinkers is used. A comparative method has investigated this issue.
