Investigating the Relationship between Family Function and the Development of Self-Governance and Eagerness to education and School in Male High School Boys in Yasuj
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between family performance and the growth of self-governance and Eagerness for education and school in first grade high school boys in Yasuj. The research method is descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this study consisted of all male students in the first year of high school in Yasuj in the academic year 2022-2021, which according to the statistics received, the population is estimated at 1400 people. The sample of this study was 300 people who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling method based on the sample selection table of Krejcie and Morgan (1970). Research data collection tools included the Nodargahfard Family Communication Performance Questionnaire (1373), the Iowa Self-Governance Growth and Independence Questionnaire (1986), and the Berry, Betty, and Watt (2004) School Enthusiasm Questionnaire. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistical methods such as mean and standard deviation and inferential statistical methods such as Pearson correlation coefficient have been used. Findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the total score of family performance and the total score of self-government growth and its domains at the alpha level of p <0.05. Peers have the most correlation with family functioning (p <0.01). Also, another research finding showed that there is a negative and significant relationship between the total score of family performance and the total score of academic motivation and its subscales at the alpha level of p <0.5. Have family function (p <0.01).
