Harut and Marut have been mentioned in world literature since ancient times. In ancient Iran, Zoroastrianism and the books of the Testaments, Babylonian and Elamite texts, etc. have also been mentioned. In ancient Persian interpretations and some earlier texts, the fusion of truth with myth has sometimes given it a mythological and symbolic aspect.
