Presenting the model of marital compatibility based on the power structure in the family with the mediation of marital justice in couples working in the armed forces
The main purpose of this study was to present a marital adjustment model based on the power structure in the family with the mediation of marital justice in working couples.
The population of this research was formed by couples working in the armed forces of Tehran in 2020-2021, from which 300 couples were selected by non-random sampling method. The tools of this research were the power structure questionnaire in the Saeedian family (2003), the perception of justice questionnaire in Perry's marital relationships (2004) and marital compatibility (Spanier (1976)). Data were analyzed by SPSS22 and Imus statistical software with correlation and path analysis.
The research findings showed that family power structure has a direct positive effect on marital adjustment (β=0.81 and P<0.01).On the other hand, the power structure has a positive and direct effect on marital justice (β = 0.55 and P < 0.01) and the positive and direct effect of marital justice on marital compatibility was confirmed (β = 0.18 and P<0.01). Also, the investigation of the mediating role indicates that justice has a mediating role between family power structure and marital adjustment (β=0.10 and P<0.01).
In general, the results show that the research model based on the relationship between power structure in the family and marital adjustment and the mediation of marital justice in couples has a favorable fit
