Investigation of the effect of solar activities and cosmic radiation on the number of traffic accidents in Tehran and Alborz provinces

In this paper, the effect of space environment factors on the number of accidents in Tehran and Alborz provinces has been investigated. Spatial environmental factors include cosmic rays and solar activities that have direct and confirmed effects on industry, agriculture, telecommunications, etc., and these factors may affect human mental health. The main purpose of this article, which is the motivation of this research, is to investigate the effective factors of space environment on human mental health, assuming that the increase or decrease of accident rates is directly related to it. Therefore, daily statistics of urban and road accidents in Tehran and Alborz provinces from 1393 to 1397, along with parameters measured by ground-based observatories of spatial factors, including the daily values ​​of cosmic radiation activities, sunspots, radioactivity. At a frequency of 10.7 cm and solar magnetic parameters were collected and then the correlation of spatial factors with the number of accidents was evaluated.The results showed that cosmic radiation after 177 days with a correlation coefficient of 0.46 and sunspots and radio flux of 10.7 cm after 62 days and 74 days with a correlation coefficient of -0.55 and -0.48, respectively, affect the number of accidents.
