Examining and analyzing the experiences of teachers from the transition to virtual education in the era of Corona
The Covid-19 pandemic has forced teachers and students at all levels of education to quickly adapt to distance learning. Distance education with online education has been one of the most prominent changes required by teachers.
The purpose of the research was to examine and analyze teachers' experiences of the transition to virtual education during the Corona era.
This qualitative research was conducted according to Van Manen's (2006) interpretive phenomenological research method and a qualitative approach with phenomenological method was used. The research community was teachers with virtual education experience in the last year. A semi-structured interview was used to collect data, and the six-step thematic analysis method of Van Menen's interpretive phenomenological approach was used for analysis.
The results showed that the basic themes are continuity of education, creation of opportunities for creativity, empathy of parents with teachers, flexibility and freedom of action, more monitoring of parental training on homework, creation of new experience for beneficiaries of education, entry of virtual education literature into the formal education system of the country, reducing the cost of commuting, improving the media literacy of parents, removing or reducing the educational and… were identified.
According to the basic themes identified and the themes of the first organizer, the second classification was done in the form of themes of the second organizer, the themes of the first organizer were advantages and disadvantages, and the themes of the second organizer were for both educational, social, cultural, it was economic and technical.
