Security-Social Analysis of the Unrest in the Fall of 2022

From time to time, the Islamic Republic of Iran suffers from social unrest due to the plans of the enemy on the basis of one of the internal events. At the end of September 2022, riots occurred in parts of the country, especially in the western provinces, due to the fault of I.R.I. moral security police in the death of one of the citizens. The purpose of this research is the security-social analysis of this unrest.

The present applied research was conducted with a qualitative approach based on the data available in the internal database of the I.R.I. Public Security Police. These data were obtained from the summary of interviews and personality analysis of all the people who were actively present in the riots of the fall of 2022 and were directed to the public security police for justification and interview. The available data were reviewed in full and categorized by qualitative content analysis.

The analysis of the findings taken from the media and social networks shows the reaction of different streams of opponents, opposition groups, monarchists and anarchists in producing content and various actions with special techniques in opposition to the Islamic Republic of Iran. The training provided in this space has created various challenges for the country. The content analysis of the interviews includes fifty categories in seven different dimensions for analysis, which are: field, ideological and religious, network-guidance, behavioral, livelihood-economic, security-information and external intervention.

The analysis of this study shows that new unrest using Internet communication has sought to theorize the intellectual circles to gain public opinion of youth, women and religious and ethnic minorities, and to induce severe censorship thinking in Iran, which requires independence to achieve independence. Thought is the demand and the fight against ignorance, especially media ignorance. On the other hand, informing the people with a correct narrative to prevent the narratives of the opposition and the opposition should be at the forefront.
