Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of effective listening on the interpersonal communication skills of the employees of the Entekhab service industrial group. The research method is descriptive-survey. The statistical population consisted of 220 employees, of which 136 people were selected as a statistical sample through stratified random sampling in proportion to the volume and all 136 people answered the questionnaires. Measurement instruments included Moghimi Effective Listening Questionnaire with 40 questions and Monjemi Zadeh Interpersonal Communication Skills Questionnaire with 19 questions, whose Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.75 and 0.73, respectively. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed through face and content validity. Data were analyzed at two levels of descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation and variance) and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation test, multivariate analysis of variance and Tukey post hoc test). Findings showed that there is a significant relationship between effective listening and interpersonal communication skills (P <0.01). There is a significant difference between employees 'opinions about effective listening in terms of job position and also between employees' opinions about interpersonal communication skills according to age.
