Abstract:

Without a doubt, curricula play a key and very decisive role in the success or failure of the education system in general and religious education in particular. Curriculum requires making decisions that have solid theoretical and scientific support, therefore, in the field of religious education, the position regarding teaching-learning dimensions should be based on solid theoretical and scientific support. In the field of religious education, three approaches have significant theoretical and scientific background. These approaches include: rational approach (knowledge of thought), habitual approach and intuitive approach (experience of thought). The point of view of the curriculum is different from the point of view of each of these approaches. In this article, along with the brief introduction of two other approaches (i.e. habitual and experimental), the rational approach, its epistemological foundations and its stance towards the curriculum are examined, and in the end, we criticize and evaluate this approach to the religious education curriculum.
