Modernization and collapse in Iran 1341-1357; Study of social and economic reflections of development plans in Iran Abstract:Iran experienced a new chapter of social formation between 1341 and 1357. During this period, the social structure of Iran underwent a profound change rapidly with the help of huge oil revenues. These critical developments in the social and economic structure of Iran prepared the ground for the collapse of the Pahlavi government and the emergence of the Islamic Revolution in 1978. The present article examines the developments of Iran's two decades of modernization with emphasis on the Fifth Development Plan and seeks to answer this question with a historical research method based on the description and analysis of data. What have been the consequences of implementing Iran's development programs? To answer this question, it is assumed that the Pahlavi government, as a result of incomplete social and economic modernization and patterns related to socio-economic crises in Iran, fueled the collapse and Revolution.
