Contrastive Survey of Objective Hermeneutics' Viewpoint and Muslim Scholars
Objective hermeneutists and Muslim interpreters, although both are into understanding of author's intention, due to interpretive basis of paradigms being essential factor for interpretation differences, the goal of this essay is to understand basis of these two paradigms. Also, the relation of these two interpretive paradigms has been analysed comparatively, Comparing the defaults of these two paradigms, it is shown that for some basis like understandability of texts, language being basic in understanding and intention, meaning being objective, final meaning of texts, texts understanding being subjective, there are some similarities. However, in some other basis like: historisation, intention recognition being made on guessing- which is believed by intentional hermeneutics- and not wisdom, differs from each other. Also, text (Quran) has no contradiction and discrepancy due to its author being knowledgeable (Alim) and this, makes it distinguishable from all other texts. In the mean time, it has been shown that there are some differences between these two paradigmes as far as historisation point of view is concerned, Datum clearly show these similarities as well as differences between these two paradigms. To show these statistics as clearly as possible, the results of the discussions in this essay has been shown in a comparative table at the end of essay.
