Abstract:

The primary objective of this research is to assess the impact of professional job crafting on teachers' job performance, with social capital serving as a mediating factor. The research follows an applied approach in terms of purpose and descriptive methodology for data collection. The statistical population comprises 69 non-governmental high schools in two districts of Shiraz. Data were collected from 62 high schools based on the sample size formula for limited populations. A five-point Likert scale questionnaire was used as the data collection tool. The questionnaire's validity was assessed in terms of content and structure, and reliability was determined using Cronbach's alpha coefficient (0.899). Data analysis was conducted using SPSS and Smart PLS statistical software. The results indicate that job crafting has a positive and significant impact on job performance, job crafting has a positive and significant effect on social capital, social capital positively influences job performance, and job crafting, mediated by social capital, has a positive and significant effect on job performance. Consequently, managers of non-governmental high schools in the second district should encourage teachers to utilize job crafting techniques to enhance their social capital and job performance.
