Abstract:

Imprisonment is the front line of Iran's criminal policy to deal with crime, and the application of prison sentences with the aim of preventing crime and reforming criminals by legal authorities has exacerbated the inflation crisis in the criminal population. Iran's criminality is in legislative, judicial and executive dimensions, and the research method is descriptive-analytical, and the findings indicate that the unsuccessful experience of using the prison sentence and the emergence of many undesirable effects caused a new approach from the criminal justice system. The use of alternative punishments of imprisonment should be put on the agenda, and by reducing and adjusting the conditions of applying alternative punishments, requiring courts and judges to apply alternative punishments, multiple alternative punishments and creating a culture of acceptance of alternative punishments of imprisonment in the judicial system of the country, to the goals of this Criminal politics arrived. to the goals of this Criminal politics arrived.
