Explaining the effects of the community-based empowerment strategy on the reduction of urban crimes in the informal settlements of Yasouj, a case study (Balahzar ، Madavan Sofla and Mehrian)

Organizing and re-creating informal settlements and solving their problems, including reducing the incidence of urban crimes, has always been the focus of urban planners and policy makers. Currently, the most appropriate approach to urban management is organizing and empowering the local community with an emphasis on the participation of all citizens, who can be guided to become more empowered by planning, directing, leading, monitoring, controlling and allocating appropriate resources. In recent years, the city of Yasouj has grown a lot in terms of physical and economic aspects and has been open to immigration, the most development has been in the surrounding settlements of Yasouj city, and the increase in the phenomenon of marginalization is evident, on the other hand, these settlements have affected the security of Yasouj city. Another goal of this research is to identify the factors influencing the violence in the surrounding areas of Yasouj city and its impact on crime planning in order to reduce and solve urban crimes through social engineering and cultural empowerment of residents along with people's participation with a local approach. The current research is descriptive-inferential in nature and in terms of the research goal (developmental-applied) and focuses on community-oriented empowerment strategy to reduce the occurrence of urban crimes in the peripheral settlements of Yasouj city. The findings of this research show a direct relationship with a high percentage between crime planning and crime factors such as: poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, inefficient management, ethnic differences and their reduction through community-oriented empowerment with emphasis on social engineering, awareness raising, foundation building and rail It shows implementation by local authorities through the full participation of local residents.
