Provide a Model of Business Intelligence Components
Business intelligence has an important role in achieving success and creating a competitive advantage, and therefore the purpose of this study was to provide a model of business intelligence components.
This study was applied in terms of purpose and quantitative in terms of implementation. The research population was managers and experts of the Information and Communication Technology Department of the Ministry of Oil in 2020. The sample size was 93 people who were selected by available sampling method. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire of business intelligence (64 items) whose psychometric indices were examined. Data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling in SPSS and SMART-PLS software.
The results showed that the factor load and the mean variance extracted of all components were higher than 0.50 and the combined reliability of all components was higher than 0.80. Also, the model of business intelligence components had a good fit and all 12 components of quality information, quality users, quality systems, business intelligence governance, successful establishment of business intelligence, organizational culture, perception of observability, perception of testability, perception of complexity, perception of Adaptability, perception of comparative advantage and utilization of knowledge for sustainable competitive advantage had a significant effect on business intelligence (P <0.05).
According to the model of business intelligence components, planning to use the model in order to gain a competitive advantage is necessary.
