Methods to increase motivation in teachers, based on letter 53 of Nahj al-Balagha

Motivating employees is the desire of all organizations. Organizations want employees to exhibit behaviors that will make them successful. The purpose of this research is to investigate and identify methods of motivating teachers based on letter 53 of Nahj al-Balagh. Therefore, a number of motivational methods in this letter have been investigated with a descriptive and analytical method. Among the factors that affect teachers' motivation are attention to teachers' financial needs, teacher's skills, encouragement, punishment, interaction, apology and professional ethics. The results show that Hazrat Ali peace be upon him has proposed creating motivation in line with following divine orders with human motivation.
