Studying the Consequences of Using Facebook Network on ethical security of students (Case study of Bojnourd Islamic Azad University Students)

Abstract:

Facebook as a virtual social network is a new phenomenon in human society and its users have become increasingly rising. Ethical security is one of the most important factors in society’s security and increasing the number of virtual social networks could affect the society’s ethical security. This research is conducted due to importance of impacts of facebook on society’s ethical security and social norms. The main aim of the study is investigating the consequences of using the facebook on student’s ethical security among the Azad university students in Bojnourd. The survey method is used to conduct this research. In order to collect the data a questionnaire form is used and the population of the study was 2,500 people which were including the Azad university students in Bojnourd and the sample size was 310 people which were selected randomly. In order to test the hypotheses, correlation coefficient of «Kendall tau» is used and accepted correlation coefficient is less than 0.05 the results show that there is a significant relationship between using the facebook and ethical security. Meanwhile, there is relationship between the amount of using facebook and the rate of unveiling and pornography and the spread of male and female relationships and the promotion of unconventional relationships.
