Sociological analysis of social unrest in Iran in 2023

The purpose of the current research is to sociologically investigate the formation of social unrest in Iran in 2023. After the death of Mrs. Mehsa Amini, unrest occurred in Iran, which was different from the protest events of the last decade in terms of origin and base, form and content, as well as scope and extent. The question of the current research is based on what these disturbances are. The hypothesis of the research considers the formation of these social protests in a modern form based on the network society and three types of protest forms: identity, opposition and generality, which are formed in conflict with the ruling patterns. Data collection methodDocumentary, a method of process tracing data analysis, is a type of qualitative research inspired by Alan Thorne's theory of social movements.
