The Effectiveness of Teaching Quranic Stories on Social Growth and Life Expectancy in students
The present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effectiveness of teaching Quranic stories on the social growth and life expectancy of students.
The current research was practical and based on the semi-experimental data collection method with a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. The population of the present study consisted of all the sixth grade female students of the two Arak district in the academic year of 2022-2023. To select the research sample, 30 people willing to participate in the research were selected and randomly replaced in two experimental and control groups (15 people in each group). The data collection tools included the questionnaires of the social development of dignity (2006) and the life expectancy questionnaires of Snyder et al. (1991). Quranic story teaching sessions were conducted by the researcher for the experimental group, but the control group did not receive therapeutic intervention. SPSS version 22 software and multivariate covariance analysis were used in data analysis.
The results showed that by controlling the pre-test effect, there was a significant difference between the post-test average of social growth and life expectancy of students in the two experimental and control groups (P<0.01)
According to the findings of the research, the teaching of Quranic stories can be placed as an effective program in promoting the social growth and life expectancy of students in the context of official education in the country.
